INTENSE PULSED LIGHT (IPL)
LASER AGE SPOT REMOVAL
Many people have some brown sun spots, or "age spots" as they are commonly called. These spots are caused by long-term sun exposure. They are usually removed using a "photo facial" procedure. Skin Renaissance uses the Cutera Xeo Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) source -- the most advanced "photo facial" method available for removing sun spots from your face, chest, arms and hands.
This device is utterly unique compared to other "pulsed lights" on the market because it was designed exclusively for brown spots and nothing else. Other "pulsed lights" on the market are trying to achieve many other things; thus they treat brown spots much less effectively than the Xeo. Our Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) doesn¹t require messy gel as older machines did, and is virtually painless.
After treatment the signs of sun damage will darken for a few days, then flake off, leaving the skin clear and younger-looking. For patients with darker skin types such as Persian, Indian, or Hispanic skin, Intense Pulsed Light may not be a safe choice. However, Skin Renaissance offers other treatments that provide safe and excellent alternatives for skin rejuvenation.
